So another problem that has been on mine and countless other peoples minds is the topic of welfare in our country. I will actually admit I am not about taking this program away. I understand times get rough, I understand the economy is in the toilet, sometimes people do need assistance and I do not believe in turning my back when someone is in need. Welfare should be a way for others to get back up on their feet after they’ve been knocked down. The problem we are facing currently is abuse of the system and the new cultural view emmerging:entitlement. I have run onto people out in town who pride themselves in abusing the aid, who see it as an alternative to working. This isn’t statistics or survey, this is feedback overheard by strangers. My suggestion, with which I don’t see any reason not to, is to change the requirements to obtain welfare.
A) Mandatory Drug Tests
I full heartedly believe that mandatory drug tests should be a requirement of obtaining a welfare check.Employers have the right to drug test their employees and I believe that this should be implemented to welfare as well. One of the major arguements I have heard against this is the cost of the test itself, that it would increase the cost to the government. There is no reason why we couldn’t take that cost out of the welfare check, the individual is being handed free money anyways, so I don’t understand were there would be a concern. Problem solved.
B) Require Community Service Hours Logged To Recieve Aid
This would actually have multiple benefits, to the government, the working citizens who pay for others to recieve welfare, and would help shift people out of the mindset that they are entitled to free handouts.
The benefits if people were required to do community service to obtain welfare:
-Our communities would be cleaner, and there would be an influx of volenteers to build our communities up
-We would destroy the idea that people don’t need to work for a living
-Those who were recieving welfare would develop a work ethic, would learn to give back to there communities, and many would probably rather just find jobs if they werent able to get the money for free. Which means less of a demand for welfare, lowering our taxes.
I understand that there are many more benefits but these were just examples. I personally think it is a great idea! I would no longer have a negative view on welfare knowing those who need assistance are earning it by building up our communities.
If you agree with me please share, if you have anything to add comment below. I hope you all enjoyed.
Thank you for reading

Hello there,
I have been writing for hours on my site called “Totally Inspired Mind”. at:
http://www.TotallyInspiredPC.wordpress.com
I would love you to check it out some time. I like your ideas and I see you are an “out of the box thinker” just as I am. One thing is for sure, we need to do something other than what we are doing because it isn’t working.
The people who need it most are not getting the help they need-I am disabled and it took me 7 years and filing FRAUD charges on the Vietnamese workers named “Ngyen” that told me in the Garden Grove Medical office i needed a kid to get medical. I then, after talking to two supervisors fought and now my $3000 medicine is paid for by medical. Thank God.
We are the only country that is becoming more none for what we give away than what we possess!
Why are we then going bankrupt?
It is not hard to figure it out.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to improve our country, allow people to live better qualitiy lives and also see that the disabled Americans are taken care of and our veterans.
I would like to talk to you.
You can create a peition based on your idea on two different web sites:
Look at ipetiion.com and care.org
Good luck and I hope to hear from you. Strength comes in numbers ya know!

I will definitely be looking into your website, as I want to work with as many like-minded individuals as possible.
I have been researching how to get a federal law passed(based on this article) and was looking to turn this into a petition.
The whole purpose of this blog is not just to open the eyes of the public, but to get mass exposure to the national and global problems, and to provoke a change into making these ideas a reality.
I have a list of articles I still need to write, but I will get there in time.
This is my first day on this website, trust me, there will be much more to come =)
Reblogged this on Eugene-Fringe.
fantastic points altogether, you just gained a new reader. What may you suggest about your post that you just
made some days in the past? Any certain?
Which post are you referring to?
All the posts I have wrote and are writing are effective alternatives and solutions to some of our biggest problems today. You just have to learn from peoples mistakes or success’s and use that information to solve your own puzzle.
This website started with the intention of bringing awareness to our people, but now that I understand that it can be implemented…. I want to try to get all these(or possibly better solutions) implemented within the next few years. It’s our moral responsibility to do so.
